Our Story

At Hope City Church, our story is one of faith, transformation, and mission. Located in Tulare, California, we are a Christ-centered community committed to revealing the Glory of God, proclaiming the Gospel, making disciples, and being the salt and light of the earth, bringing the hope of Jesus to our city and beyond.

We exist to help people from all walks of life encounter Jesus, grow in faith, and live out their God-given purpose. Through Gospel-centered worship, faithful teaching of God’s Word, and intentional outreach, we desire to equip believers to love God fully, love people sacrificially, and fulfill the Great Commission.

We believe in the power of the Gospel to transform lives, families, and communities. Whether you are exploring faith, returning to church, or looking for a place to grow, we invite you to join us. Here at Hope City, you will find a family walking together in faith, living on mission, and pointing everything back to Jesus Christ—our Savior, the Head of this church, and our greatest hope.

Together, let’s proclaim Christ, make disciples, and bring Gospel transformation to Tulare and beyond—all for the glory of God!

We are a community fixed on revealing the glory of God, proclaiming the Gospel, equipping and discipling believers and living as Salt and Light in our communities

Our Vision

GOD, PEOPLE, & DISCIPLES

Our Mission

Love God.

Cultivating a personal relationship with God is the highest priority for every member of our church. We are dedicated to helping everyone grow in the knowledge of God by reading and studying the Scriptures in their proper context, leading to obedient living. Our foundation is built on engaging with sound biblical theology that shapes, stabilizes, and nurtures individual lives.

Matthew 22:37
You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, mind, soul, and strength

Building healthy and genuine relationships among our members is essential through fruitful accountability and shared community as we live life together. We desire to strengthen one another through the Scriptures, help each person fulfill God’s calling and use their gifts for the glory of God, and encourage obedience to God’s purpose and mission.

Matthew 22:39
You shall love your neighbor as yourself

Love People.

Make Disciples.

We believe that the church exists to willingly and intentionally live out God’s purpose by being on a mission in our neighborhoods, communities, and throughout the world. We understand that each of us is sent out with different gifts, talents, and abilities to be instruments of God's mission. Together, we serve and work to fulfill the Great Commission, and we invite you to be part of this journey.

Matthew 28:19-20

Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with
you always to the end of the age.

There is therefore now no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus, who do not walk according to the flesh, but according to the Spirit. For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus has made me free from the law of sin and death. For what the law could not do in that it was weak through the flesh, God did by sending His own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh, on account of sin: He condemned sin in the flesh, that the righteous requirement of the law might be fulfilled in us who do not walk according to the flesh but according to the Spirit.” (Romans 8:1–4, NKJV)

  • Jeremiah Nicholas

    Worship Lead
